It all started with...

New speedskating boots, my first marathon and some really trashed feet !

I wrapped my feet with sport tape and hoped for the best but...
my feet sweat, so the tape slipped and I got massive sores and blisters, yikes!

This is not the way I envisioned this sport to go so after trying moleskin and all of the commercial blisterpads with no real relief, I started cutting foam neoprene and elastic and sewed my first version of the Ankle Bootie. After many designs, I came up with the current style. After wearing them to a few group skates, other skaters wanted to know where I got them and then, if I could make some to sell. After three years of making a few for friends and everyone they encountered, I decided to go into production with three thicknesses to suit different fit issues. My girlfriend, who shows her horse, wanted to try them in her tall equestrian boots. She found the 3mm helped in keeping her heels down.

After a request for a solution to cold feet in longtrack ice training I designed the easy off and on insulated ice boot cover that will be available in the 2005 winter season. Then several skaters asked for a rain and wind resistant cover. After a rainy 2004 Athens to Atlanta, Kim Perkins gave them a thumbs up for saving her brand new Bont boots. Barry Publow wore them to his victory in the 2005 US National Marathon Championships.

I am working on several new products, so keep your eyes on the site for additional new items!
